HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Ionzyme DF Machine is a patent pending machine designed by Dr Des Fernandes which introduces the use of intensified Iontophoresis treatments with active low level Sonophoresis. The pulsed current used during Iontophoresis helps to open up ‘pores’ and the active ions that penetrate the skin, are absorbed into the living cells, stored and eventually produce changes in the cells. The sound waves from the Sonophoresis are the same as the sound made by dolphins, and are generated from the vibration of a special ceramic head and are transmitted through to the skin. The lower sound frequency (a 22 kHz sound wave versus the 1.1MHz used in conventional Ultrasound) produces better penetration through the skin, and can be up to a 1000 times better than the 1.1MHz ultrasounds. The combination of these two methods together with the special Environ treatment serums and gels used, produce dramatic results…

Specific Environ products that are used in these treatments are high in Vitamins A and C plus additional growth factors, which are essential for the maintenance of a healthy and youthful skin. However, the skin has a natural, waterproof barrier that hinders the penetration of vitamins. Hence, this revolutionary system overcomes this resistance and enhances the penetration of vitamins contained in the Environ professional skin care products, with the combination of 2 highly sophisticated methods:

Pulsed Iontophoresis – involving the use of a specific pulsed electrical current to facilitate greater penetration of vitamins into the skin. With conventional iontophoresis, changes are very much slower, whereas with the Ionzyme DF machine, the client will notice that the skin looks and feels younger within two or three treatments.

Low Frequency Sonophoresis – involving the use of sound waves to transport vitamin molecules through the skin. Low Frequency Sonophoresis is up to a thousand times more effective than the conventional ultrasound. Environ is the pioneer in both the use of Low Frequency Sonophoresis and the combination of both treatments within one treatment.

Iontophoresis is used for relatively large surface areas such as the face and neck, whereas Sonophoresis is used on limited areas such as the upper lip and the concentration of expression lines around the eyes, on scar tissue and on pigmentation marks. Both methods can be combined where necessary, for intensive treatments. It is also useful for reducing pore size, evening skin tone, tightening, lifting and brightening client’s skin, while providing an overall healthier appearance.

The treatments are designed to stimulate maximum thickening of the skin, normalization and improvement of collagen and elastin, better control of pigmentation production, restoration of normal skin blood flow and proper oxygenation of the skin.

HOW OFTEN?

For optimum results a series of at least 6 DF Treatments is recommended. However, at times depending on the age and the problem that is treated, more treatments (sometimes up to 24 treatments) can be encouraged. The treatments are preferably done 2 weeks apart, however if one wishes a slower route they can be done every 6 weeks. The use of Environ skincare for home use is essential, as otherwise the client won’t be able to receive high dosages of vitamins in the skin. Digital photos are taken before and after every course of 6 treatments.

This results in their passage to attain depths in the skin about 10,000 times more than by simply applying the products topically. The higher the levels of vitamin A and vitamin C that can penetrate into the lower layers of the epidermis, the more collagen can be made. This Cosmetic Needling (Roll CIT) would be done at home, but client can also bring this along to the facial, where it will be done on the client prior to doing the machine – for better penetration of vitamins.
